We ship and pack a lot of boxes here at NCP, and to help lower our impact, we have switched to corn starch packing peanuts instead of Styrofoam peanuts.
Corn starch peanuts are completely biodegradable. They dissolve instantly in water, so when you receive your package, you can dissolve them for fun! You can also just dump them on the ground or in a compost pile, and they will disappear readily.
