In 1995, I was surgically put into menopause by having a complete hysterectomy and immediately put on Hormone Replacement Therapy. For 2 years I took the prescription drugs, PREMARIN and ESTRACE. The severe side effects I encountered were insomnia, night sweats, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, mood swings, depression, headaches, and weight gain/bloating, no energy. This also affects how you speak to and treat people, you are not thinking right and you are not nice to be around.
Unable to cope with all of this I took myself off all drugs and looked for something natural, which was ESTRAVAL. I was finally getting my life back. Then I saw my specialist, who did approve of this, and also asked me if I had a BONE DENSITY TEST. I said no, so he ordered one for June 2000. I got the terrible news that I had severe OSTEOPOROSIS. I have the hips of a 90 year old and the spine of a 104 year old.
This is a very sneaky disease, where most people don’t have symptoms until they break a bone, a rib, the spine, hip or another part of the skeletal system.
My regular Doctor gave me a drug called FOSAMAX. Now the side effects of this drug could be ulceration of the esophagus if you don’t take as prescribed, in a standing or sitting position for 30 minutes with lots of water and definitely no lying down. Like an idiot, I took this drug, and sure enough it started to bother my throat. I was only doing 10 mg. for dosage. The question was asked how much bone density I would gain on the FOSAMAX and was told if I was lucky I would gain 2 percent over 2 years. It would not be good bone mass and I would quickly lose it all when I stopped taking the drug.
The next visit he asked how I was doing and I told him I stopped the drug as it was bothering my throat. He then gave me a new drug called ACTONEL, which could do the same thing as FOSAMAX. Too scared to try this, it is now collecting dust on my shelf. Then I heard of Michael O’Brien coming to Bridgewater, so I attended his seminar, and came away with an inner peace that maybe I had found an answer to my health problems. I immediately started taking the products recommended by Natural Choice Products but only in small amounts. I had another bone density testing June, 2001 and in just 8 months of using the products my new report revealed that I had gained 4 % in my spine with good bone replacement, and it’s permanent. I take the 120-day program that Michael recommends so I can rid my body of this most unwelcome guest. Look out Osteoporosis, here comes your worst nightmare.
